U.S. 82nd Airborne & 2nd Armored Rank Structure |

The Unit has a set rank structure, with all new members joining as Privates, assigned to a specific squad with a specific task.
The following Rank Structure applies to Parachute Infantry, Armoured Infantry and normal Infantry impressions:

Note: the above NCO ranks apply to Normandy scenarios - for Holland scenarios and later, Cpl and Sgt ranks become Sgt and SSgt ranks, Platoon & Company HQ SSgt's become Technical Sgt's, reflecting the changes brought in to TO/E's during 1944. |

All other ranks are allocated on the following basis against each vehicle from the TO/E - they are not permanent ranks, but are assigned to each vehicle solely for that specific event: |

M8 Armored Car Vehicle Commander : Sgt Driver : T/5 Assistant Driver & Gunner : Pvt/Pfc |
Gun/Mortar Jeep Driver : T/5 or Pvt/Pfc All other personnel as assigned for that event (i.e. depending on task assigned to jeep). |
Half-Track Driver: T/5 or Pvt/Pfc All other personnel as assigned for that event (i.e. depending if Armd Infantry Squad in vehicle of if vehicle is assigned to another task). |
